He has made several recordings for the VRT and the RTBf, film music and several CD's with original works for trumpet/piano, trumpet/organ, trumpet/soprano and organ. He is much in demand for masterclasses (in France, Switzerland, Malta, Roemenia and Japan) and at the Royal High School for Music in Antwerp, he had during 5 years a flourishing trumpet class. He is also a visiting lecturer at the Musikhochschule in Luzern. Alain Roelant is extremely active in the field of chamber music: he has himself founded several ensembles in order to illustrate the broad range of possibilities of the trumpet down the centuries. They include: Duo All’Armi (trumpet/organ) : concerts in Austria, Sweden, Italy, Slovakia,... Trio All’Armi (trumpet/soprano/organ): concerts in the Far-East (a concert tour in 1992 performing in Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong and Singapore), France, Netherlands,... Alain Roelant also founded and is artistic director of the Flanders Trumpet Choir, a dynamic ensemble consisting of eight young and talented musicians from his trumpet class. From this Choir grew the Flanders Trumpet Quartet, which has now been performing successfully in Belgium and abroad for 8 years, with concerts in Germany, Malta, the Netherlands, France, the United States; Austria, and so on. All these ensembles have also performed at the Festival of Flanders. The Camerata Con Cor(d)e string orchestra came into being in 1999, also on Roelant's initiative. It is a professional chamber orchestra with a fixed core of 11 string players which can be expanded in accordance with the programme and the demand.
